entech question

Postby dgravano11 » Sun Nov 26, 2017 11:14 pm

hello hub,

i was thinking about getting some new iwata entech. i currently use a ls400 1.3 gold cap hvlp for base and a lph400 lvb 1.4 purple cap for metallics/pearl. i am looking to get the entech, the question i have is which size would you go for the 1.3 or the 1.4? i like the 1.3 for my regular shooting needs, and the 1.4 at 11psi for the metallic and pearls.

thanks for all your help.

Really? I am shocked with that recommendation. I was under the impression that the entech was a good base gun and the evo/ws is a good clear gun. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks dom

Hey Dom, You are absolutely correct the entech is the Anest Iwata gun best designed and engineered for base coat because of its great engineered atomization and low over spray and when it comes to choice of fluid nozzle size the 1.3 sill seems to be the most popular - now if you asked my preference I'd choose the 1.4 because of my spray technique and the fact that I can adjust for less material with the 1.4 BUT with the 1.3 there is no adjustment for more material. Thank you for re asking your question,

great much appreciated hub, i was getting worried i haven't seen any responses from you in a while.

one last question, would the 1.4 entech be comparable to a 1.4 lsb purple cap on the lph400?

you're the best

Hey Dom,
Thank you for the kudo,
No, they each have their advantages. I love them both, but each for different reasons. I love the fact there isn't any color too difficult for the LVB to spray BUT THAT'S ONLY ABOUT 3 TO 5 % OF THE COLORS and then you must follow a strict spray technique that is unique to the LVB. If you want a copy of that technique, just ask.
What I love about the entech, its more forgiving, is faster and sprays that other 95 to 97% percent of the colors with ease. so I think the entech would be a better buy.
Cheers,
